Meet the Photographer

Denny Cobb is an award-winning, freelance photographer from Virginia Beach where he has lived for most of his life.....so far.  He graduated Old Dominion University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  After graduation Denny toured the Soviet Union where his interest in photography began, having been lent a 35mm camera for the trip.  Following retirement from a career in banking, he began studying photography in earnest.

Denny's photographs have been published in the National Park Foundation Calendar, the National Park Owner's Manual Booklet, the Old Dominion University Alumni Magazine and the Virginian-Pilot newspaper.  Additionally, his work has been exhibited among others at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

Denny divides his time between Montana, Virginia and Nashville.

From Denny:  After driving and photographing the iconic Route 66, I began traveling to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah and Colorado to photograph the landscapes and wildlife found in our numerous national and state parks.  I particularly admire the work of Thomas Mangelsen, one of the most prolific nature photographers of our time, and I credit his work as a major influence.
